Mahasthangarh, at Shibganj in Bogura, is the oldest known city site in Bangladesh.

What survives is the entrenched city of Pundranagara, dating back to around 300 BCE. It was among the first archaeological sites in the country to be excavated, and the mounds and ramparts still trace the outline of the old city.

A site museum beside the excavations holds objects recovered from the ground here.

How to get there About 13 km north of Bogura town on the Bogura–Rangpur road.
