Chalan Beel is a large inland depression spread across the districts of Natore, Sirajganj and Pabna — marshy in character and rich in flora and fauna.
It fills in the monsoon and shrinks in the dry season, and supports a great many birds and a fishery that much of the surrounding population depends on.
